According to Wikipedia, Ramblin’ Jack was a companion of Woody Guthrie.   Arlo Guthrie, Woody’s son, barely knew his father who died early.  Arlo acknowledges learning his father’s songs and musical style thru Ramblin’ Jack. Bob Dylan was greatly influenced by Ramblin’ Jack and was sometimes referred to as his son.  Jack also influenced Phil Ochs, among others.  He appears in albums by both. His early history is intriguing, too.   At age 15 he ran away from his Brooklyn home to join a traveling rodeo.  While on the road he met a singing cowboy and taught himself to play guitar.     Chad Taylor from the band Live Chad Taylor from the band Live wearing Rockmount No. 6751.  This band rocks!   Gerd Becker, Germany The Pretenders play Rockmount. Hey Steve, I am Chris Hudson (Andrew's brother) and my band just finished a tour here in Germany and Austria with my band "Modern Earl" and it was rockin.  Thanks for your effort with the shirts.  Andrew was here for a couple of shows and even sat in which was a hoot as he and I have not performed together on stage in 20 years or so.  I attached a photo of me and my drummer (Claudius Zott)  in our Rockmount stage shirts.  People really dug em! Western Music Awards Winners Wear ROCKMOUNT In Colorado for their WestFest appearance, 3 Western recording artists visited ROCKMOUNT's new store. Singer, songwriter and rancher Joni Harms brought her singing pals RW Hampton and Mickey Dawes by to shop for ROCKMOUNT shirts, silk ties and scarves. They were in Colorado to perform and promote their new album "Real West". Joni & RW just won coveted honors at the Western Artist Awards Show in Ft. Worth, July 7. Joni was named Western Entertainer of the Year, as well as receiving honors for Western song of the year for "Every Cowgirl's Dream." RW was named Male Vocalist of the Year. You never know who is going to walk in. Jules Shear, singer & songwriter --for Cindy Lauper and the Bangles -- came into Rockmount while on tour in Denver for an E-town concert. Jules said he came by Rockmount twice before but Rockmount was closed so he was thrilled to find us open enroute to the airport.
