According to Robert, "Clark Gable was really extremely particular about his clothes both personally and on the set. He wears a variety of Rockmounts throughout the "Misfits" really says he liked the shirts! I  read yesterday that he folded the collar up in the back (in all his movies) since he was concerned about his 'fat' neck. See the turned up collar in the movie..."
