SPECIAL COLLECTION OF SIGNED LIMITED EDITIONS

ROCKMOUNT vintage products and advertising are collectable and values are rising.  There is a strong market for our vintage shirts and antique advertising pieces which now sell for hundreds of dollars.   Museums have ROCKMOUNT in their permanent collections and sell the contemporary brand in their stores.   Collectors specialize in Rockmount.   Requests from consumers for us to sign their purchases are growing.

Our commitment to preserve our unique history is nothing new.   We continue to fight the challenges to which so many domestic businesses succumb: cheap imports, generic design, succession of the family business.  We remain one of the last 3 original businesses in historic LoDo (Lower Downtown)
Denver.  We hope to expand the vintage museum in our Denver headquarters.

The new Special Collection of Signed Limited Editions is intended to help preserve our historic role in popularizing Western fashion & lifestyle.   We plan to expand this section as time allows.  These rare vintage items are numbered and extremely limited.  When gone there are no more.

Everyday at Rockmount is an adventure.  We never know who we are going to hear from....   Email from the Antarctic, rock stars, people like the rest of us....

The thing we like best is when creative people like what we do.  We were blown away when we heard this cool song “If You Love Mewhich is about Rockmount!.  Rockabilly and Rockmount are true Americana.   Click the link below to hear this great track.

Its by Art Vandalay (a nod to  Seinfeld), a Minneapolis group, written by Brandon Henry.  His music is a unique blend of swaggering Americana, indie rock and country-folk with vivid, intelligently crafted lyrics. The songs keenly observe slice of life situations painting vibrant pictures of desire, heartbreak, the tenderness of loss, and pearl snap shirts.

Along with a talented bunch of Twin Cities musicians, Calvin Plocher (drums), Mother Banjo (harmonies, banjo), and Ben Cook-Feltz (keyboard) Art Vandalay has created a sound unto his own and an album of pure Americana.

If You Love Me” is a raucous tribute to Brandon Henry’s love affair with the pearl snap shirt. The song’s infectious chorus features Rockmount, the original pearl snap shirt. The song has garnered praise far and wide.

RANCH DRESSING: THE STORY OF WESTERN WEAR
by M. Jean Greenlaw has been out of print for several years but we recently found a cache of new copies!

This is an information-packed history of the clothing once worn only by cowboys on the range and now universally popular with everyone from children to grandparents, including presidents. In clear prose the author discusses the origins and manufacturing of the Western hat, first created by John B. Stetson; Rockmount's role in popularizing the longest running shirt design in America, jeans once sold by Levi Strauss to gold miners in California; boots, the most expensive part of the wardrobe; and accessories–-chaps, wipes, dusters, trophy buckles, bolo ties and more. Based on extensive research, Ranch Dressing tells the amazing story of a style of contemporary clothing that continues to capture the frontier spirit and romance of the Old West. Chapters on cowboys past and present, hats, shirts, jeans, boots and accessories. Special features on Stetson, Rockmount, Justin Levi Strauss & Co., and many more. Published in 1993 by Lodestar (Penguin), hardcover with jacket, 80 pages, full of photos, index, 7.25" x 9.5".
